Cornell Tech Presentation | 3D Printing for Seniors

What small products would you like to see developed (3D printed) that would make your everyday lives easier as you grow older?

February 13 | 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM

546 Main Street – 12th floor conference room | Light refreshments will be served.

Last week Jane Swanson sent out a community email regarding an upcoming Cornell Tech MakerLAB workshop: 3D Printed Products for Seniors. Challenges (ideas) are being solicited from RI older adults for small products that would make their everyday lives easier. These products will then be produced in the MakerLAB as part of an upcoming 3D printing workshop (See attached flyer).

Cornell Tech has asked RISA to host an event so that Cornell Tech can solicit challenges from RISA members. Niti Parikh is the director of the MakerLAB@Cornell Tech. Niti, along with Cornell Tech’s design strategist, Gary Zamchick, will be leading an interactive session with RISA members to solicit challenges (ideas). In these sessions, through prompts and target inquires, the presenters guide participants to open up and dig deep into their everyday lives to discover challenges which can be solved with 3D printing.
